Tychy Brewery: Tracks and ballasting are done
I’m finally done with the tracks on my model railroad shelf layout. I went with the Tillig H0-ELITE-track system since I heard only good things about it, and must say that I’m more than happy with the outcome.
For the ballast I went with red-brown PROFI Ballast “Gneiss” by NOCH—initially greyer than I expected and giving it a “newer” look than I was going for. However, after applying the glue, the red-brown colour appeared.
The whole ballasting took longer than I hoped. I had to refill my stock, but the product was sold out even on the producer’s side. Eventually I found a store that sold the item, but the delivery took several weeks.
I stuck to my original plan and laid the tracks accordingly. I will adjust some other things on my layout, though. I plan to add more details to make the model more realistic and lively, but will do so as I go without updating the plan I drew up on my computer.
